Investigations by the police over the disappearance and murder of three children belonging to Uasin Gishu’ Kapsoya MCA candidate James Ratemo Nyambane have narrowed down on their uncle.

According to Nairobi News, a local daily online news site owned by the Nation Media Group, Eldoret east OCPD Adamson Furaha says officers from the DCI office have upgraded the charges from abduction to murder.

It is suspected that the children’s uncle might have abducted them on the Saturday they disappeared, slit their throats and dumped their bodies in River Nzoia.

Their uncle, who is the MCA candidate’s brother was expected to be charged in court on Tuesday.

According to witnesses, the suspect, identified as Enoch Onsanse, 26, was the last person seen with the three children on Saturday before they disappeared. Their bodies were found in the river near Moi’s Bridge.

However, the MCA aspirant’s family say the killings could have involved more than one person and have called for deeper investigations.

Area police, though, called on Kenyans to avoid speculating on who killed the Kapsoya children saying investigations would be comprehensive.
