Abdi Aden Digale’s a father of six has now decided to tun to facebook to beg for a job after hew was suspended after quitting his job over insecurity cases that is on the rampant in Garissa County.
Digale is a qualified teacher with a master’s degree in Education, Leadership, and Management, as well as a Bachelor of Education in Special Needs Education/Religion.
His heartbreaking tale began when he was unfairly dismissed from his previous teaching position due to security concerns.
Sent to a school plagued by clan clashes, Digale found himself in a perilous situation where the safety of his own life was at risk.
“They posted me to a school where there were clan clashes. Six boys from my clan were killed, and I feared for my life. I told them I could not go there because of the security situation. Instead, they forced me to go to the school, but I didn’t. That is how I was suspended, and my salary was stopped. To me, it was intimidation,” he said.
Facing unemployment and burdened with the responsibility of caring for his poverty-stricken family, Digale’s situation is dire. With four children enrolled in school and a wife who is unemployed, he finds himself in a desperate struggle to provide for his loved ones.
“I have nothing to give my kids. We survive. Some friends send me some money. I plead with the leadership of Garissa county to salvage the situation. I only need a job that can put food on the table for my children,” he emotionally said.
