Following the launch of the all-inclusive data package known as FLEX by Safaricom, one of the biggest questions among consumers has been on how to utilize the product and get the 35 per cent more value that it offers. Safaricom Flex bundles are easy to learn and forget the calculating mind as it has already been done for you.

To begin, according to Safaricom, the package is available to both pre-pay and post pay individuals. Interestingly, the 35 per cent value comes with the flexibility that the product allows users in navigating between data, voice and text messaging while on the same bundle and without additional costs.

To subscribe for the package, you will need to follow the following steps:

1). Dial *100# for prepay customers.

2). Dial *200# for post pay customers.

If you are on the Advantage Plus bundle or the Karibu post pay bundle, though, you will only be able to purchase the FLEX bundle after your currently bundle has expired. However, you can opt to terminate your Karibu or Advantage Plus contract and subscribe to the FLEX package.

If you purchase a FLEX bundle, it will be automatically renewed at midnight. For instance, if you subscribe to the Sh. 99 daily bundle plan, you will get 115 Safaricom FLEX units which will be valid for 24 hours. However, if you have a balance of Sh. 99 or more in your sim account, the bundle plan will be renewed and rolled over at midnight. If you don’t have an adequate balance, the bundle will be renewed once you have recharged your account.

If you don’t want to have daily deductions, you may either opt out of the bundle plan by unsubscribing through dialing *100# or *200# and selecting the unsubscribe option.

Interestingly, though, you may opt for the weekly or monthly FLEX data plans which offer more for less. For instance, you may select the Sh. 599 weekly bundle plan which will give you 700 FLEX units and which will be valid for a whole week of 7 days. In the same vein, you may go for the monthly bundle plan which will give you 3,100 FLEX units for 30 days at a cost of Sh. 2,499.

Additionally, the flexibility of the safaricom FLEX bundle plan does not end with the voice, data and SMS services being offered. According to Safaricom, the FLEX units you get will also enable you to call or text other networks without incurring additional charges. “The FLEX units you purchase will also contribute to your Stori Ibambe daily target,” adds Safaricom.
