Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula and his Ford Kenya deputy Bonnie Khalwale have claimed that Moses Mudavadi is a Jubilee project.
The two Cord leaders claimed that Mudavadi is being fronted by the Jubilee government.
Wetangula and Khalwale further claimed that the recent installation of Mudavadi as the Luhya spokesman will add no votes to the opposition in the upcoming general elections, and instead will only breed confusion.
Wetangula and Khalwale said this while addressing their supporters in Lugari yesterday.
“If Mudavadi is seriously interested in teaming up with CORD, he should focus on the agenda and forget about associating himself with Atwoli, who is engaged in political business,” said Mr Wetang’ula.
Mr. Khalwale yesterday claimed that immediately after Mudavadi’s crowning as the community spokesman, Central Organisation of Trade Unions Secretary General Francis Atwoli who backed his coronation travelled to Mombasa to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He also alleged that Mudavadi’s ally and Lugari MP Ayub Savula was spotted with Deputy President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet after the ceremony. “Mudavadi wants to be used by Jubilee. If he wants to survive, he should stop associating himself with Atwoli and Savula,” said Khalwale.
