MP Peter Salasya Meets Lady Who Proposed Marriage: See What Happened Next

Member of Parliament for Mumias East, Peter Kalerwa Salasya, finally met with a young lady from Kakamega who carried a placard asking him to marry her.

Recently, Ms. Lavyn Shantell was spotted on the streets carrying a banner with the inscription ‘MP PK Salasya, marry me. I am ready to settle’ and even provided her contact details.

Indeed, the efforts of the young lady led her to meet the first-term legislator at a local restaurant in Kakamega town on Tuesday.

“Hello everyone, I have finally met my husband. I am very happy. I feel comforted, as if I am okay. We are here having dinner,” Ms. Lavyn said in a video of their meeting posted by the MP on his social media pages.

Lavyn revealed that the politician bought her a meal of ugali and chicken.

When asked by the MP what attracted her to him the most, she said, “I think we resonate. We are in sync. After a while, you will know.”

The woman insisted that she is ready for marriage and indicated her willingness to live in the village while her husband works in Nairobi.

“Then tell online members that it’s enough. Let’s wait and see, if the internet accepts you, then we will see how things go. If the internet rejects you, then that’s it,” Salasya told Lavyn.

Another question the MP asked the lady was whether she was still a virgin.

Ms. Lavyn replied, “You will know later.”

Earlier, the jovial politician had rejected a marriage proposal from the lady who volunteered to be his wife.

According to Salasya, he said he couldn’t handle her physically.

“I have heard that this is trending, and I am not sure if I can handle this machine,” Salasya wrote on his Facebook post.
