League Title Battle: Tusker FC aims to outshine Wazito FC and overtake Gor Mahia

Tusker FC’s head coach, Robert Matano, is gearing up for a tough match against struggling Wazito FC at Ruaraka stadium.

Currently sitting at second place on the league table with 51 points, just two points shy of leaders Gor Mahia, Tusker FC has a chance to dislodge the record league winners from the summit with a victory against Wazito FC.

Coach Matano is wary of Wazito FC’s physicality, describing them as a “good, physical team” with experienced players. However, he is confident in his team’s abilities and is planning to counter their strengths.

“We have 11 matches to go. We will continue working hard. Wazito are a good, physical team and determined; I watched them. They also have experienced players but we will plan for them,” said Matano.

Tusker FC has been in impressive form, winning their last five consecutive matches and setting the bar high every week with good responses, fast starts, and dramatic finishes.

With only 11 matches to go, Wazito FC, led by Charles Odera, needs to find a way to turn their season around as they battle relegation.

Tusker FC, on the other hand, has been putting pressure on Gor Mahia as they aim to retain the league title. Sitting at second place, they are determined to catch up and overtake the leaders with their consistent performances.
