Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth is back in the country after months of receiving intense treatment for colorectal cancer.

A jovial-looking Okoth was spotted at the Kibra Music Festival on Sunday, July 7, with photos of him dancing and interacting with the crowd exciting his constituents.

Joined my brother @okothkenneth and the people of Kibra for an exciting Music Festival earlier today. Welcome back home bro and thanks for the amazing job you and your team have been doing.

The festival was his first public appearance since he jetted out of the country for France in February to receive specialized treatment.

He was in the company of Nairobi Senator Johnstone Sakaja, who confirmed Okoth’s presence back in his constituency.

“Joined my brother Ken Okoth and the people of Kibra for an exciting Music Festival earlier today. Welcome back home bro and thanks for the amazing job you and your team have been doing. Your strength and your determination inspires us all,” Sakaja said via Twitter.

The popular festival usually attracts Early Childhood Development (E.C.D) with winners in different categories being awarded different prizes.

Kenyans online were quick to applaud the MP for his remarkable spirit as they welcomed him back to the country.

The 41-year old has been away for five months as he had to be flown to France for further treatment of colorectal cancer with metastases to the liver.
