ODM and Cord leader Raila Odinga has accused the ruling Jubilee party of buying Cord members.

Speaking in Migori when he started a tour of Western Kenya to stem growing rebellion, Mr. Odinga appeared to hint that the move by Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba to quit his secretary general position and the ODM was party had been influenced by money.

He accused Jubilee of using money gotten from corruption scandals to lure Cord MPs ahead of the 2017 General Elections.

“Even if Jubilee buys some of our members, they must know that those we expect of joining us are more than them,” he said.

He was accompanied by Migori governor Okoth Obado, MPs Junet Mohamed (Suna East), T.J Kajwang (Ruaraka), woman representatives Mishi Mboko (Mombasa), Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi) and Florence Mutua (Busia).
