Co-operative Bank is set to launch a club that will see members share investment and business opportunities. The club which has been dubbed as Captains Club will be launched to day at 6pm.

According to a statement from Co-op Bank, the club will bring together individuals with the aim of helping them grow; providing new contact opportunities and sharing pertinent investments and business information in an informal atmosphere.

“Members of the club have access to a wide network of individuals & businesses in and around the region and have the chance to meet like-minded people at the club’s engagement forums,” said Co-op Bank.

According to Co-op Bank, Kenyans can join the club by taking on the Executive Plus banking product at the bank.

“Those who subscribe to the Executive Plus membership will automatically become members of the Co-op Bank Captains Club, which is a club of individuals looking to network and grow through investments and business opportunities,” says Co-op Bank.

Interestingly, by joining the club, you will get access to free comprehensive research materials such as Daily Market reports, Weekly Market reports and Investment recommendations, and monthly research notes.

You will also be granted access to tailor-made investment services on stocks listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange as well as Treasury Bills.

“Members will get 25 per cent to 30 per cent in brokerage discounts, as well as a reduction on the period it takes to settle their securities transactions from T+3 to T+1 at no extra charges,” says Co-op Bank.

This means that these customers will be able settle transactions at the Nairobi Securities exchange within a day.

For a first in the local banking industry, if you are married and have joined this club, your spouse will enjoy these same services for free!

You can join this club by visiting your nearest Co-operative Bank branch or give Co-op Bank a call on 0703 027 000.
