Wiper leader and Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has come out to state that he wants ODM leader to abandon his presidential ambitions and support him.

This is a turn around from a statement Mr. Musyoka made at the Bomas of Kenya where he declared that he was willing to set his ambitions aside and support another NASA candidate.

Speaking yesterday at Kalundu market in Kitui Township, Kwa-vonza and Kabati markets in Kitui Rural and Kitui West constituencies, the former vice president said it was high time Raila and Wetang’ula came back to reality, read the mood on the ground and accepted him to be the CORD flag-bearer.

“I am the most appropriate presidential candidate for CORD in this year’s elections. It is my time take the baton. My conviction tells me I am likely the next president of this country,” said Kalonzo.

The Wiper leader further said that he was willing to play dirty politics as the current US president Donald Trump did during the US presidential campaigns. “For Trump to win in America, he did not play politics of diplomacy,” Kalonzo said yesterday in Machakos town, signalling that he was going to play hardball politics.

Today, Kalonzo will tour Kisasi, Ikanga, Mutomo, and Ikutha before moving to Kibwezi in Makueni County in the afternoon.
