I Miss Old Days With Willy Paul, Bahati Says

For the longest time word out there has always had it that gospel singer Kevin Bahati and his counterpart Willy Paul alias Pozze have always not seen eye to eye.

Bahati and Pozze sometimes beefed openly giving credence to the claims, but if the reports are anything to go by, then the two might be on their way to mend fences.

This is after singer Bahati came out to admit that he misses his old days with Pozze. While at it, he also revealed that he used to write songs for him.

Bahati made the remarks after he shared a throwback picture of him attending Groove Awards with Pozze while their careers were just picking.

He went on to state that he misses the days when they were young.

“The days I used to write songs for this small boy. I’ve missed our childish days bro #WillisRadido,” said Bahati.

It is reported that after their careers picked, the two singers became rivals over fuelled by, among other issues, nominations in the same categories in the years that followed.

They never saw eye to eye, until one time when gospel industry players brought them together during a concert and asked them to forgive one another.

After that, one cannot clearly state whether they are friends or enemies. They also don’t talk about issues involving the two of them publicly until recently when they have started poking fun at each other on social media.

Just the other day, Pozze put up a wedding inspired photo, asking his fans to reach out to Bahati, with information that he has also decided to settle down.

“He who finds a wife finds a good thing… wapi bahati aone hii mambo!! Congratulations to me,” wrote Pozze.

The post captured Bahati’s attention, revealing that he was also following Pozze’s footsteps with his songs, after doing a number of collaborations with Gengetone artistes.

“Pozee Naona umefuata advise yangu…ata mimi nafuata yako but si Rahisi,” Bahati replied.

Digging deeper to few weeks prior, Pozze seemed to have taken a swipe at Bahati and wife Diana Marua.

In a video that had been shared widely online, Pozze claimed that Bahati’s vocals are failing. He further told Diana Marua to help her hubby sing instead of just spending his cash.

“Bwana Diana utatuonyesha Mambo kweli si uache hata Diana aimbe. Diana saidia Bwana yako we unataka ulishwe ulishwe Bwana anapoteza vocals we uko hapo unakula tu, Saidia Bwana” he said.

The two artistes have been subjected to a backlash in the past few years after they openly drifted away from the gospel industry.

Netizens accused them of ‘misleading the masses with songs that are not rooted in faith’, yet they had branded themselves as gospel ministers.
