Financial troubles averted as Vihiga bullets set to get new leadership ahead of weekend matches

George Aladwa, a member of parliament from Makadara, has pledged to support the financially troubled Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) team, Vihiga Bullets.

In addition to providing financial support, Aladwa is poised to take over the team as interim chairman following a request by the club management.

The MP came to the aid of the club when they were stranded at the Nyayo National Stadium after their league match against AFC Leopards, where they lost the game by a solitary goal.

Aladwa sent the team Sh35,000 to cover transport costs back to Vihiga.

Vihiga Bullets has officially confirmed the development and thanked Aladwa for his kind gesture.

In a statement, the team’s management expressed gratitude towards the MP for bailing them out of their predicament and coming to their aid when needed.

“I want to thank Hon George Aladwa for bailing the team which was still stranded at Nyayo. On behalf of the team, I thank him for coming to our aid at the hour of need. There are on going talks so that he can take management role at the club as our interim chairman,” said Owoko.

There are ongoing discussions for Aladwa to take a management role at the club as their interim chairman.

Aladwa’s support for Vihiga Bullets is a testament to his commitment to supporting sports and local communities. The MP believes that with the right support and financial backing, the team has the potential to do well in the FKF-PL.

Aladwa emphasized that it takes dedication and commitment for any team to make it to the topflight league and that Vihiga Bullets has already demonstrated that they have the potential to perform well if they are supported.
