Self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader Miguna Miguna will land in Kenya tonight after he was barred from boarding his plane in Frankfurt Airport, Germany on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
Miguna, who vied unsuccessfully for Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the August 2017 elections while speaking to Hot 96 said,
“IN FACT, THE KENYA GOVERNMENT HAS DEMANDED THAT LUFTHANSA MUST REFUND MY FARE. THEY HAVE DEMANDED THAT LUFTHANSA SHOULD NOT FLY ME INTO ANY OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRY, EITHER.
He added,
The government has denied the claims and spokesman Cyrus Oguna says Miguna is free to travel to Kenya on Uhuru assurance; Foreign Affairs ministry to handle the red alert issue.
Uhuru says no need to bar Miguna.
On Monday, the High Court issued orders compelling the state to facilitate the entry of the controversial politician into Kenya.
