News of the arrest of popular disc jockey Joe Mfalme in connection with the fatal assault of a senior police officer has taken the internet by storm.

According to reports, Dj Joe Mfalme whose real name is Joseph Mwenda alongside his bouncer, photographer and driver have been taken into custody for allegedly assaulting Kabete Police Station Deputy DCIO Felix Kelian on the 16th of March, 2024.

According to witnesses who spoke to NTV, the altercation occurred at a Kikuyu establishment where DJ Joe Mfalme was performing on Saturday, March 16.

Following a night of revelry at the Texas Barbeque joint, Kitosi headed to his vehicle parked adjacent to Mfalme’s.

As he departed, Kitosi inadvertently scratched Mfalme’s vehicle, sparking a confrontation between them and Mfalme’s entourage.

However, conflicting reports suggest that Kitosi was assaulted following a “non-injury traffic accident” in Kikuyu market. Kitosi’s brother reported that he tragically succumbed to his injuries on Friday, March 22, while receiving treatment at Nairobi West Hospital.

Prior to his passing, Kitosi had complained of severe abdominal pains resulting from the alleged assault.

In light of Kitosi’s demise, his body has been preserved at the Umash Funeral Home in Mbagathi as investigations into the incident continue.

Authorities are conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of Kitosi’s death, and it’s reported that the police are actively pursuing additional suspects, including a woman believed to have been present during the altercation.
