Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony has placed an urgent appeal to have DP William Ruto’s security boosted.
The Governor claims that the DP William Ruto may be a target following the murder of one of his security aides, Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei.

Governor Chepkwony reasoned that he would be worried about his own safety if any of his security guards were killed in mysterious circumstances.
“When your security person is killed, what else will follow? What was the real intention of eliminating someone who is just assigned to perform his duties?
“I also have a security person, but if he is killed then I’m the real target,” the governor argued.
Governor Chepkwony added that the DP’s criticism of the BBI rallies could also place his life in danger.
