First daughter Charlene Ruto on Monday, May 1, announced opportunities for Kenyan entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses.
She revealed that the funding was for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and successful applicants would get up to Ksh10 million in funding.
The President’s daughter revealed that the funding would be facilitated by Kua Ventures, a source of affordable capital in East Africa.
“Kua Ventures will be opening their next round of applications for funding for entrepreneurs as from Tuesday, May 2, 2023,” Charlene posted.
According to Charlene, Kua Ventures is a faith-driven investment organization seeking to uplift Kenyan entrepreneurs.
Being a faith-driven organisation, they only offer funding to SMEs whose founders are Kenyans and Christians according to the first daughter.
“The business must have at least three years track record and make revenues of Ksh5 million to Ksh25 million.
“Funding ranges from Ksh5 million to Ksh10 million over a period of two to five years,” Charlene told interested parties.
The company on its official website prides itself on helping companies that impact society grow.
“We provide capital and coaching primarily to micro and small businesses in emerging markets worldwide to foster growth.
“Our ultimate goal is growing local businesses that have a vision of community impact,” the company states in its portfolio.

Once you visit the website, click on the Interested in Funding icon.
Once you click on the icon, you will be prompted to key in your personal details which include; Name, Email Number, Contacts, Business Name and Type of Business.
Additionally, you will be asked to affirm if the founder of the business is a Kenyan national and if the firm upholds Christian values.
After you have ticked that you meet all the aforementioned criteria, you will click Submit and your application will be duly submitted.
