Boni Khalwale responds to claims he killed his farmhand after finding him in the act with his wife

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has broken his silence after reports went rife that he killed his long-time farmhand, Kizito Moi, after finding out he was having an affair with his wife.

The 47-year-old worker was discovered dead at the senator’s residence in Malinya, Ikolomani, under circumstances that have raised eyebrows and fueled speculation on social media.

Khalwale, a prominent figure in Luhya cultural bullfighting known as “Bullfighter,” has vehemently rubbished claims circulating on social media that suggest his involvement in Kizito’s demise.

Detectives in Kakamega County are actively investigating the case, as Kizito’s body displayed multiple injuries believed to be inflicted by a bull he had tended to for over two decades.

Critics, including Kakamega businessman Toto Shimanyula, have alleged a cover-up in the incident, prompting Khalwale to call a press conference in the presence of the police at his compound. The senator expressed shock over the incident and dismissed the allegations as baseless, questioning the credibility of claims originating from social media.

“If you would be having a claim, it should be from a credible source…but you are telling me to respond to claims from social media? Really! Really! Really,” Khalwale told the Star.

He stated that his bull, ‘Inasio,’ was killed in line with these cultural practices, and suggested that Kizito may have inadvertently provoked the charging bull, leading to the tragic outcome
