Former Kipipiri MP Dr. Amos Kimunya has mourned the death of his wife, Lucy Kimunya.
In an emotional statement on Tuesday, the former Majority Leader in Parliament announced that his wife passed away on Monday night.
Kimunya revealed that the late Lucy had been undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital when she passed away.
“With great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will, I would like to announce that on Tuesday morning at 9 am, my beloved wife Lucy went to be with the Lord, while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital,” Amos Kimunya announced on Facebook.
The politician continued to talk about the significant role the late Lucy played in his life and the community at large.
“She was a crucial pillar in my personal and political life, contributing significantly to making our community environmentally friendly through various initiatives and supporting the youth and women,” he said.
He added, “Go well, our dear Lucy; you will be greatly missed. More communication will follow.”
Scores of Kenyans poured in to console Mr. Kimunya and his family, expressing their condolences.
