AFC Leopards Sports Club, one of the leading football clubs in Kenya, has announced that it is seeking the services of an audit firm to audit its financial records for the financial year starting in January 2022.

The audit firm should have appropriate knowledge, skills, experience, and competence to audit the club’s financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing and ensure that they are in conformity with the applicable International Financial Reporting Standards.

The objective of the external audit is to express a professional audit opinion on whether the club’s financial statements, in all material respects, are in conformity with the applicable International Financial Reporting Standards. The audit will be renewable annually, subject to approval by the National Executive Committee.

To ensure the integrity, objectivity, and professionalism of the audit, it is essential that the audit firm maintains independence from the club throughout the contracting period. Therefore, the bidding firms will be required to meet strict criteria, including being registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and holding a current Practicing Certificate.

The chosen audit firm must also demonstrate that it has the capacity, capability, and experience required to undertake the audit within the required time frame. This requirement is essential to ensure that the audit is completed efficiently and effectively.

Interested bidders have until 20th February 2023 at 1700hrs EAT to submit their proposals to the email address provided. The proposals should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of AFC Leopards Sports Club and sent to their physical address in Nairobi, Kenya.

The announcement of the audit sends a clear message that AFC Leopards Sports Club is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in its financial management. It also demonstrates the club’s commitment to ensuring that it adheres to international standards, providing stakeholders with accurate and reliable financial information.

The audit will also provide the necessary assurances to stakeholders and the public that AFC Leopards Sports Club is managing its finances effectively and transparently.

The chosen audit firm will play an essential role in providing reliable and accurate financial information, ensuring the club’s continued success and growth.
