AFC Leopards has been hit with a concerning development as their young defender, Lewis Bandi, has gone missing.

In an press interview, head coach Patrick Aussems expressed his worries about the player’s disappearance, revealing that Bandi has been absent since last week.

“Ojo is injured, Kayci is injured, and Bandi, I have not had any news of him since last week; I don’t know where he is,” he stated

Bandi, a promising full-back, last featured for AFC Leopards in the Mozzart Bet Cup semifinal loss to Kakamega Homeboyz.

However, since that game, he has not been seen or heard from, leaving the coach and the club in a state of uncertainty.

The player’s absence has become even more glaring as he was not included in the squad for the recent match against Nairobi City Stars.

The club had already suffered a setback in the Mozzart Bet Cup, and the coach found it challenging to motivate his players following their elimination. AFC Leopards were solely focused on lifting the trophy this season, but defensive mistakes proved costly, leading to their early exit.

Unfortunately, the lack of aggressiveness and defensive lapses persisted in their subsequent match against Simba wa Nairobi, resulting in a 2-1 defeat.

As the team prepares for their upcoming away game against Vihiga Bullets, the absence of Bandi adds another layer of complexity and concern for the club. AFC Leopards will not only have to address their on-field performance but also seek answers regarding the whereabouts and well-being of their missing young defender.
