Help find this girl stolen by house-help in Nairobi

A couple in Nairobi is looking for their two year-old daughter who they suspect was stolen by their housegirl on Wednesday.

The girl, Baby Kaitlyn Amanda Owino, disappeared from Villa Franca estate in Imara Daima while under the care of Jessica Nawire – a Ugandan citizen.

Fiona Akinyi, the girl’s mother, said Amanda remained at home with the househelp when they (parents) left for work.

“My daughter was in the house with her sister but the help walked out, lied to the firstborn that she was bringing Amanda to our office and did not come back,” she told the Star on phone.

Fiona said that she sensed something was amiss after a neighbour called to find out if they had sent the househelp.

“I left for home only to find our firstborn playing outside, alone,” she said.

Akinyi said that a neighbour’s help had given Nawire her phone to make a call but she deleted the call logs.

“We wrote a letter to Safaricom to help us trace calls made from the said line because our househelp did not have a phone. Tracing her is quite a challenge,” Fiona said.

“We reported the case to the Villa Franca police station as well as the area chief and we hope we will find our child safe,” she said.

Nawire, who has not been traced since the child disappeared, had only served the family for three weeks prior to the incident.

The couple described her as short in stature with shaved hair.

Fiona and her husband Francis Odhiambo can be reached through 0729342353 and 0702258636.

Police have asked anyone with information regarding this or happens to come across the lady and Kaitlyn Amanda Owino to report to the nearest police station.
