Two Kenyans and about 95 Somalis have been deported from the US.

Reports indicated 95 Somali men and two Kenyan women were deported via Omnia international plane at 11am.

Government spokesman Eric Kiraithe confirmed that the group arrived in Nairobi and said he did not know why they had been deported. “I don’t have details of their deportation but it is true there are 90 Somalis and two Kenyans who arrived at JKIA after deportation from the US,” said Kiraithe.

The deportation comes ahead of President Donald Trump’s expected signing of executive orders that include a temporary ban on most refugees and a suspension of visas for citizens of Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries.

An estimated 30,000 Kenyan illegal immigrants are now at imminent risk of being deported from the USA back to Kenya.
