Jamaican singer Konshens shared an emotional moment with a Kenyan girl who has tattooed his name on her chest/shoulder.
The two were captured in a video tightly hugging as she almost shed tears realizing her dream of meeting the dancehall singer.
Before adding,
“Brought me to tears, I froze up and couldn’t let her go in the club and she wouldn’t let me go either in this packed hot club in Nairobi 🇰🇪. It’s not because she tatted my name, it’s because she wasn’t flirting, wasn’t trying to hang out all she wanted was to express her love for me and my music ❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote.
Konshens was hanging out in a club in the city and continued;
“I’ve seen my name on fans, my lyrics, I’ve heard stories of what my music did or meant to people, I’ve had people come up to me and say I changed their lives and their family’s lives by doing some simple thing that I didn’t think twice about and that I won’t even remember and it is the most gratifying feeling in this job. I do not deserve my fans😔. Love you all so much and you all did so much for me and mine. Thank you all.”
Before that, he had asked Kenyans to give him a title in a picture wearing a mustard-coloured two-piece suit. Kenyans also appreciated him for his love of the country as he also indicated Kenya is his home.
