The US Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman has pledged to expedite US visa processing to help clear a backlog of pending applications.
The US embassy in Nairobi has adopted several changes to the entire application process and increased the number of visa processing staff to reduce the waiting time for the applicants.
This comes as a reprieve following a spate of public outcry over delay in the visa approval for Kenyans at the embassy in Nairobi in the recent past.
