The former wife of Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Prisca Mwaro, was found dead in her house in Nairobi on Wednesday morning.
Her sudden demise has left her family in shock and grief. The cause of her death is still unknown, and her family is calling for a thorough investigation into the matter.
A close family member of Prisca Mwaro stated that they are yet to get answers to several questions, and they suspect foul play.
“She might have given up the fight,” her close friend, who spoke to The Standard on condition of anonymity, said.
Mwaro and Namwamba were married for only three years and had three children together before they separated.
According to sources close to her, Mwaro had been battling depression for the past three years after Namwamba left her for a younger model and took custody of their children.
The news about her death broke a day after she celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Mwaro worked as an administrator at Kenya Electricity Generating Company until her demise.
