Uhuru convenes high-level meeting on peace and security in DRC

President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to chair a high-level meeting to discuss the security situation in the Eastern part of DRC.

The meeting comes amid growing efforts within the EAC block for a cessation of hostilities in the Eastern part of DRC.

Several Heads of State in the Eastern Africa Community have jetted into the country on Monday for the peace talks.

They include, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Evariste Ndayishimiye (Burundi), Salva Kiir Mayardit (South Sudan)…
