Two African club giants monitoring Gor striker Benson Omala for potential transfer

Gor Mahia Forward Benson Omala is reportedly the subject of a transfer tussle between two South African giants, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

Omalla, who currently leads the Football Kenya Federetion (FKFPL) top scorer’s chart, has being regarded as one of the best striker in the country according to various pundits.

Both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are looking to catch up with leaders at the top of the Log Mamelodi Sundowns and have set eyes on attacker to bolster their attacking options ahead of the next campaign.

With their first-choice strikers struggling for goals, Omala has emerged as a prime target for both clubs. Omala has been instrumental in keeping Gor Mahia in the title hunt this season, with his goals helping the team stay in second place on the league table with seven games left to play.

The young striker has showcased his talents in recent games, scoring a brace against Posta Rangers last weekend to put both Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs on high alert.

According to reports, Chiefs have shown interest in Omala and are monitoring his progress in Kenya.

“Chiefs have shown interest (in Omala). They are monitoring the striker in Kenya. He is currently the best player in the Kenyan Premier League. There is also interest from overseas,” a source told South African publication KickOff.
