The Covid-19 Quarantine Positive Effects To Families

The coronavirus scare that has forced more people to remain at home has rekindled family values that were previously taken for granted.

A family counselor, Anne Maratha said the scourge has presented family units with the most humbling reality that “a family that stays together pulls together.’“As unfortunate the scourge is, we are now more awake to the fact that we love each other in the family unit and we are obliged by that love to protect one another, she observed.“From absentee fathers now being nearer than ever, with mothers are now realizing that the cardinal responsibility of parentage should not be delegated to house girls…. from rediscovering the high essence of home hygiene as well as eating healthy for immunity boost, we are now one big family,” she said.

Mark Bichachi of Dia Consult Kenya said the last few days have reasserted the true nuance that love is always the answer to peace and tranquillity in homes.

As much as coronavirus is a pandemic, there is a positive side, that when there is quarantine you come together as a family and put all differences aside to tackle the demon of Covid-19.

As the clubs and restaurants are closed especially for men, who never used to come home early and this caused a lot of tension, some don’t happenings in their families, there’s no tension anymore because they are home early (1) because of curfew (2) nowhere to go.

In places where people never used to see your money chip in for kitchen budget rather it used to end up in clubs, your family can enjoy good diet every day courtesy of daddy who can’t afford to eat sukumawiki everyday bcoz he eats meat in clubs and family is in hallelujah mode courtesy of dad.

There’s is unity in the family because all needs are met unanimously, the power of working together. That’s the positive side of coronavirus in our families, that those who have been running away from responsibilities are midst them, no escape. To those who don’t know the needs in their families are facing them one on one and tackling them because peace is essential.
