Parenting the defiant child is certainly stressful.

Recently, a teenage child who is gay came out of control.

He started showing his true personality to his parents.

He has kept the secret from the family since he was 10 years old.

Somehow,

One night, his parents attended a gay contest where his son was one of the contestants.

During that night his gender reality was caught by his parents.

Since that night, he was badly mistreated at home by his Dad.

He received constant yelling, physical and emotional abuse.

This is when he decided to move out of his parents’ house to reunite with his other gay friends.

During this time, he displayed his public appearances as a real gay.

His parents were so angry and disgusted.

Stop putting blame on your child in this situation, instead start thinking what causes of teenage rebellion?

Always remember that relationship between a parent and a child…..

IS the strongest relationship that could ever exist in this world!

However, in above case, a child and father does not always get on very well.

Usually there is always misunderstandings between parents and a child.

On the other side, it is known that parents SET a high expectation to the kid.

In particular, parents wanted a son to be a doctor or a lawyer instead of an entertainer.

When the expectation didn’t achieve, disappointment is often apparent.

You can easily spot examples of teenage rebellion in his day to day behavior.

Such as he will be disrespectful, disobedience, disapproval, or just wanted to come out against everything!

For him, it’s an act of independence and he always believes it, but in reality, it is not.

He will tend to push away and arrogant to his parents who care.

Children who rebel against their parents tend to behave differently and reject the good values that parents told them.

Parental Pressure

Parents always dreamed high for their kids.

In the end, if children failed to achieve it, parents would always blame the kids for many reasons.

One common example is when a college student taking up art courses instead of science.

Since parents pushed him to become a future scientist but he has no interest at all in the subjects.

The final outcome is most likely the child will rebel against his parents.

He would not attending classes as well as not doing well in school.

Lack of Communication

Kids don’t like hearing repeated nagging or shouting from you.

Sometimes they would even eager to know the REASON why you’re angry!

Make sure that communication is always there.

If your child did something great, remember to congratulate him. Let him know you feel proud of his achievement.

However, if he has done wrong, politely talk and ask him reasons why they did it.

By doing so, it would be helpful for you to give him the best advice.
