Sugar sector reforms | Farmers to be paid based on sucrose levels

Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya says the government plans to settle all arrears owed to sugarcane farmers and workers in the five state owned mills before August this year. Munya says the decision is meant to enable the new administration start on a clean slate. He says the process has started and is midway.
