The son of Safaricom’s security head shot himself on Tuesday. The boy, who is a form four student at the Aga Khan Secondary school reportedly shot himself using his father’s pistol.
According to DCI chief Ireri Kamwende, the boy, who was identified as Josiah Gathura was alone at the house.
He reportedly broke into his father’s safe and took out the pistol.
However, there were conflicting reports on his condition. One side, the police reported that he had died, while his family reported that he had been admitted at an intensive care unit (ICU) in a city hospital.
