Sakaja keeps his promise, sponsors Kothbiro

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has kept his promise and sponsored the Kothbiro football tournament after it had taken a break over cash issues.

The sponsorship by Sakaja will see the winners walk away with Ksh. 150,000, 2nd place will get Ksh. 80,000, and 3rd and 4th place will receive Ksh. 50,000 and Ksh. 20,000 respectively.

In addition, the sponsorship includes kits branding for the finals.

The Kothbiro tournament is Kenya’s biggest off-season football tournament, which brings together local teams to compete in a highly competitive environment.

This year’s tournament has seen more than 50 teams register from different counties, following the success of previous tournaments.

The intervention by Sakaja and his support for the tournament is a big win for both the organizers and the players who have worked hard to get to this point.

It is also a significant development for the local sports community, as the prize money can help to promote and develop grassroots sports in the region.

Overall, the Kothbiro tournament is a great platform for local footballers to showcase their talents and for fans to come together and support their local teams.

The tournament has become a popular event in the Kenyan sports calendar, and the sponsorship by Governor Sakaja will undoubtedly help to further promote and develop the tournament in the years to come.
