Two rugby players Frank Wanyama and Alex Mahaga who had been charged with gang rape on April 2018 have been found guilty.

The judgement  was done in camera and not in public as many had anticipated.

The two had been accused of raping Kenyan singer Wendy Kemunto repeatedly on her birthday on February 10th.

Kemunto took many by surprise in  2018  after shockingly revealing the harrowing ordeal.

According to screenshots seen by Mpasho.co.ke, Kemunto narrated the horrific ordeal leaving many condemning Wanyama’s act.

Both Frank Wanyama and Alex Olaba played for the national team and Kenyan Harlequins.

Kemunto said she never reported the matter to the police adding that she regretted given that she was  now pregnant.

The two rugby players went to Kilimani Police Station to record a statement saying any sexual contact was consensual, accusing Kemunto of blackmailing them.

Just after recording the statement, Frank and Alex headed to the hospital where their DNA samples were extracted for further investigation regarding the case.

The two players will be sentenced today.
