ODM leader Raila Odinga has been officially endorsed as the party’s flag bearer. Mr. odinga was endorsed by ODM delegates in a ceremony that was held at the Kasarani Gymnasium on Friday.
The ceremony was also attended by his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.
Strikingly, the endorsement comes a few days after Mr. Odinga was named as the flag bearer for NASA.
The decision to endorse Mr. Odinga a week after the NASA flag-bearer announcement had indicated Mr. Odinga’s determination to be on the ballot regardless of the NASA outcome.
Addressing delegates at Kasarani, Mr. Odinga said that the opposition outfit had sealed all possible rigging loopholes and was confident of a win in the upcoming August general elections.
He said that the opposition was targeting a possible 10 million voter collection in its basket to ensure it beats current president Uhuru Kenyatta.
