Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi have announced that they will form their new political alliance by February next year.

The ODM and ANC leaders said this in Laikipia North Constituency where they were addressing political rallies.

“They will be surprised with the team that we will put forward. We are preparing ourselves and am sure we shall be together by February,” said Odinga. He regretted that Mudavadi had parted ways with the Cord team in 2013, adding that the experience would serve as a lesson.

Mudavadi said he has held several consultations with Mr Odinga and they had agreed that they must come together and liberate the country.

“We want to send a message that we are not enemies and that we want to work together. We have done so in the past and we can do it again,” he said.

It was the first time that the two leaders were addressing a gathering with the pronunciation of a possible alliance to face Jubilee in next year’s elections.
