Raila Boards Matatu As He Heads To Work

Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Monday boarded a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) heading to work.
“Embracing the convenience and camaraderie of public transport heading to work this morning,” Raila captioned a video on his social media.

Inside the matatu plying the Ngong-Nairobi route, the tout sought the audience of Raila, decrying the high cost of fuel.

Other passengers told him about the high cost of living, saying the country is not heading to the right direction.

The Azimio leader seems to be heeding to his directive on June 27, where he asked Kenyans to take up measures such as carpooling in order to prevent the government from collecting more money from the increased VAT on fuel products.

“Let us deny Ruto the fuel tax by limiting consumption of petrol and diesel. One way to do this is to carpool. Let us arrange to make regular journeys in a single vehicle whenever possible; give each other a ride, cut down on non-essential travel and walk instead of driving whenever possible,” Odinga said.
