Popular Female Barber Mwende Frey Invites Twitter Influencer For A Haircut, Divides Opinion

Popular female barber Mwende Frey has ignited Twitter once again after she invited Twitter bigwig ‘Crazy Nairobian’, also known as Billy The Goat to her beauty spa for a grooming session.

Billy, a renowned Twitter influencer and personality visited Mwende’s beauty spa over the weekend where he got to experience the fabled services from a host of female personnel – straight from a haircut to a massage.

Mwende, whose barbershop ‘Men’s Chamber’ immediately caught the eye of the internet soon after it was launched, also showed up to play host to her popular client as they both posed for the cameras, acted a little cheeky and exchanged banter.

Lately, the ‘Men’s Chamber’ founder, who, in the past, has said that hers is a male-only premises, has left tounges wagging owing to her unconventional business approach and seemingly suggestive grooming acumen.

After Billy toured ‘Men’s Chamber’, he characteristically posted about the experience on Twitter, quickly setting off wild reactions from curious fans and followers.

In a tweet that has been viewed over 260k times, Billy wrote, “Meet the Men’s Chamber Crew, they are very friendly by the way…” while attaching a photo in which he is flanked by six women.

Most people read some cheeky mischief in the whole get up , while some goaded Billy for appearing evidently shy as he was sandwiched by the girls.

Also, in a follow-up post, Mwende shared a rather risqu̩ video of Billy the Goat getting a haircut as one of he female staff twerked next to him. In the video, Billy can be seen facing straight ahead, only slightly Рand quickly Рchecking out the twerking sensation.

“Hii ndio wababa Kenya wanaletea pesa every day for hair cuts na massage… Anyways, I shaved @_CrazyNairobian but he was so serious ata with that clapping on the right! Billy is such a cool person yaani!” she tweeted.

Expectedly, the post attracted mixed reactions with many castigating the racy business model but others applauding Mwende for the unconventional niche.

Twitter user @Mainor_Mureithi, clearly an amused fan, wrote, “When a pro barber, a pro twerker, and a pro customer meet. Good business happens. Man’s Chamber looks entertaining. They have a twist to the regular barber experience!”

Other users seemed to disagree, saying that, despite being a good experience, it was misplaced.

“It’s no secret that men worship women’s derriere, but it would serve you better & be a more appealing experience if it were implied not overt. Suggestive, not in your face. I mean, after all, it’s just a shave, right? I think a lot of men would agree,”  Twitter user @DemetricusActual opined.

Undeterred by the backlash, a defiant Mwende has maintained that her clients are the only people who matter in her life and that anyone who has never stepped foot into her barbershop should quit advising her.

“The only opinions I care abt is that of my clients wakikohoa naitika… I serve many respectable men with real money & they give me advice on all levels, that’s why we keep growing…if you’ve never been to my barbershop advice yako ni useless!” she tweeted.
