Reports reaching Newsday Kenya say a Modern Coast Bus has caught fire.
The bus was traveling along the Kyulu road which near Machakos when the incident happened. Kyulu is between Voi and Mtito Andei.
No injuries were reported, with earlier reports indicating that all passengers had been evacuated safely.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
