Two of the girls who were also in the party are aged 13 and 14.

Kisii Police Commander Jebel Munene stated that used condoms, 25 rolls of bang, five liters of illicit liquor, Chang’aa, and 750ml of vodka were found at the scene.

Other items recovered include; a music amplifier and phone cameras.

The incident came a day after the Ministry of Health warned young people against hosting house parties.

Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman stated that such gatherings were putting them at risk of contracting Covid-19.

“The spread of the virus is concentrated in some areas. This could be attributed to the information that we have received about groups of young people who are organizing house parties in Westlands, Lavington, Kileleshwa, and Hurlingham,” he stated.

Aman reminded Kenyans to avoid social gatherings and take individual responsibility to avoid contracting Covid-19.

“At this time when the premier league football matches are beginning though the stadiums are empty, we are warning our young people who congregate to watch the matches to wear masks and also maintain the social and physical distance,” he stressed.

So far, Kenya has recorded a total of 4,478 cases. Of this 1, 586 have recovered and 121 have passed on.
