Award-winning Kenyan singer Otile Brown has refuted claims of clout chasing in connection with the late TikToker Brian Chira’s death.

In response to these claims, Otile Brown has vehemently denied any involvement in exploiting Chira’s death for personal gain.

“What does my album really have to do with the deceased? If you know me, I’m just showing nothing but love at the end of the day. I don’t even know him personally because the attention was brought to me by the fans when I was doing a live with a Tanzanian blogger, and people insisted that I should sing the song.

So when he was brought to my attention, because I never knew the guy,” Otile said.

Otile clarified that he had no personal acquaintance with Chira prior to the incident, and his awareness of him arose only through fan requests during the live session.

Upon investigating further, Otile discovered that Chira was a fervent admirer of his music, particularly the song ‘One Call,’ evident from the numerous comments dedicated to him on YouTube.

“Normally those who know me know I never come out for anybody; it’s just who I am. So I was just showing love,” Otile stated.

Moreover, Otile emphasized that his absence at the burial would not have hindered the continued success of ‘One Call,’ which was already gaining significant traction on YouTube, with views soaring by the day.

“It’s getting like 200k views a day, so whether I had showed up or not, the song is still doing well. So I think it’s funny that people would think that. When you make such a statement, what do you want? Do you want me not to show up at all?” Otile questioned.
