    She holds a degree in Social Science from Washington University and has been a senior employee at the United Nations for more than 22 years.

    Ms. Gitau contested for the Women Representative seat in 2013 under the Farmers Party after losing out to Wanjiku Muhia of TNA.

    During nominations, Ms. Gitau had accused the nominations panel of condoning electoral rigging in favour of current Women Rep Wanjiku Muhia.

    She is the current Woman Representative in Nyandarua County. She won the seat in the 2013 general elections in which she got 158,486 votes out of the 239,661 total cast votes. She contested the for the seat under The National Alliance (TNA) party which was led by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

    She holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. She has previously worked as a human resource manager in numerous flower farms in Naivasha flower farms and at the Equity Bank.

    While she easily won the Woman Representative seat, her nomination was largely contested, with claims that the process had rigged aspiring candidate Faith Gitau. Ms. Gitau had accused former minister Amos Kimunya of sabotaging her tally in Kipipiri leading to her loss.

    Wanjiku Muhoho is an aspiring candidate for the Women Representative seat in Nyandarua County. She is currently the director of Candles for Girls Initiative. Ms. Muhoho hails from Njabini, in Kinangop.
