The pay raise given to Kenya’s nurses will reflect in their January salaries. This is according to the Council of Governors.
According to the council chairman Peter Munya, county governments will nonetheless look for alternative sources to pay the nurses this January.
This is because the harmonization of the payroll master is being conducted by the Public Service Commission to determine the actual amounts that County governments will receive.
“We will pay them through alternative sources this January,” said Munya.
The Meru Governor said they were looking to determine the allowances nurses should receive according to their job groups and experience.
