Nicholas Kimeli posted 13.01.76 seconds to win the 5,000m men’s race during the Athletics Kenya World Championship and Commonwealth Games trials at Moi International Sports Centre, MISC, Kasarani, Nairobi.
Kimeli lived up to his form after setting a world-leading time of 12:46.33 during the Diamond League leg in Rome. Kimeli controlled the pace with five laps to go, breaking from a pack of five to storm to victory.
