Muthama: Kalonzo has betrayed us the way he did in 2013

Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama has launched a scathing attacked aimed at Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party.

Muthama, who has not been in good terms with the former vice-president accused Kalonzo of imposing Wavinya Ndeti as the Machakos Governorship candidate.

He further said that he will not contest for the Machakos Senatorial seat on a Wiper ticket.

“As I contemplate my next move, I assure there will be a bruising political battle in Ukambani and that the voice of the people will be heard,” he said.

Mr. Muthama had been funding the campaign of Bernard Kiala, who appears to have been short-changed in a boardroom deal that saw Wavinya get the upper hand.

“Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and CCU leader Wavinya Ndeti were given tickets while others were left to go through nominations which were marred by irregularities,” he said. “I do not feel that I have the face, anymore, to campaign or face out supporters of Wiper all over because the party has betrayed the people’s trust, just like it did in 2013, by [imposing] Governor Alfred Mutua on the people.”
