Martias Chacha, a church leader at Ground for God’s Gospel Ministries says that pastor Elisha Misiko had on several occasions tried to kill his wife.
Finally, he did after she succumbed to her injuries at the coast general hospital where she was admitted after being stabbed during an ongoing service.
‘SO MANY TIMES HE HAD TRIED TO KILL HIS WIFE AT ONE POINT HE WAS ARRESTED AND DETAINED FOR THREE MONTHS.’
Victor Wandera a congregant added,
‘HE HAD A VERY SHORT TEMPER BUT WE WERE SO USED TO HIS HABITS.
I DON’T KNOW WHAT STORIES HE HEARD ON SATURDAY BEFORE TAKING THIS DECISION.
SINCE THEY STARTED ARGUING OVER THE CHURCH THEY HAD PARTED WAYS.’
According to a church member,
I WAS AT HOME WHEN I RECEIVED THE CALL. THEY LACKED SOMEONE TO HELP SOLVE THEIR MARITAL DISPUTES.
I AM IN PAIN BUT THE DAMAGE IS ALREADY DONE.’
On the day of the incident, Elisha thought that his wife had died immediately but she died later after succumbing to her stab injuries.
