Former president Daniel Moi is recovering at his home in Kabarak, Nakuru County, following a successful knee surgery that was conducted on Friday at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
The former president was reportedly admitted at around 4pm and according to his press secretary Lee Njiru, the operation was conducted to ease pain on one of his knees.
“After the procedure, performed under local anesthesia, a hail and hearty Mzee Moi was discharged and is recuperating at his residence,” Mr. Njiru told a local daily.
