Rue Baby, Akothee’s daughter, has confirmed that she is currently single and doesn’t have a boyfriend despite being seen in various places with male friends.
In a video posted on her Insta story, Rue Baby stated that it’s time to set the record straight before bloggers jump to conclusions about her pictures with male friends and claim they are her romantic partners.
She explained that she decided to clarify her relationship status to avoid putting her male friends in awkward positions with their girlfriends, emphasizing that they are just her “besties.”
“Hey, my fans, there’s something I want to clarify real quick. I want to enjoy quality time with my male friends peacefully. I want to go out for evening outings and clubs with them in peace, they are just my friends,” Rue Baby began.
“I don’t want to wake up in the morning to find bloggers spreading rumors that Rue Baby has a boyfriend. Please, when you do that, you put my male friends in a difficult position with their girlfriends. I want to make it clear that I am currently not in any relationship, at least not yet,” she added.
Rue Baby emphasized that when she does have a boyfriend, her fans will know because she won’t be able to hide it, but for now, the male friends she’s seen with are just buddies with whom she enjoys spending time.
“But when I’m in a new relationship, you guys will definitely know because I won’t be able to hide it. But for now, those male friends you see me with are just friends with whom I’m having a good time. I want to post their pictures peacefully. Everyone you see us hanging out with, they’re all just friends. None of them is someone I’d want to date,” she concluded.
It’s worth noting that for a long time, Rue Baby was rumored to be in a romantic relationship with comedian MCA Tricky after they were seen together in various places.
However, Tricky was the first to clarify that they weren’t dating, but many dismissed his statements, considering them as jokes because of his profession as a comedian.
