Michael Olunga pens heartfelt birthday message to his girlfriend

Kenyan footballer Michael Olunga has penned down a heartfelt message to wish his girlfriend Grace Edith Akinyi a happy birthday.

The star striker, who currently plays for Al-Duhail Football Club in Qatar, expressed his affection for his lover.

“Today, a queen was born. Happy birthday love. She was wishing you more wins, health, prosperity, and happiness. Here’s to another year of adventure, laughter, and endless love,” Olunga wrote.

The footballer initially introduced Grace to his fans in 2019 through his Instagram.

The couple recently sued a city real estate firm over a dispute in a Ksh67 million land.

The footballer claimed that after making the payment, the company refused to transfer the land, leading Olunga to suspect a fraudulent scheme.

Frustrated by broken promises, Olunga sought legal assistance and filed a lawsuit, alleging that the company had advertised and sold the property to a third party despite their prior agreement in April 2022.

Michael Olunga success
In 2017, Olunga embarked on a new chapter in his football career by joining Guizhou Zhicheng in China.

He later gained prominence in La Liga with Girona FC, making a remarkable debut with a historic hat-trick.
Following his stint in Spain, he made a significant move to Kashiwa Reysol in Japan, where he left an indelible mark by finishing as the top scorer in the 2020 J1 League.

This achievement not only earned him the Golden Boot but also the prestigious J-League 2020 MVP title, marking a historic feat for an African player.

In January 2021, Olunga continued his global journey, signing a three-season contract with Al-Duhail, the reigning champions of the Qatar Stars League.

His time with the club proved to be exceptional, culminating in the triumphant victory of the 2022–23 Qatar Stars League title. Olunga played a pivotal role in this success, showcasing his talent with four goals in a decisive 5-2 triumph over Al-Shamal.
