The presiding bishop at Joy Springs Church in Kiambu is making headlines for the wrong reasons after snatching another man’s wife.

The man identified as John Kanyua narrated his ordeal to the press and could not hide the emotions within him.

He recounted how the man of God blessed their union when he presided over their wedding, proclaiming that “let no man put asunder what God has put together”.

Little did he know that a few years down the line, the man of God would return to put asunder what God had put together.

It all began when the Bishop fronted Leah to be a pastor at Joy Springs Church in Kiambu where the couple worshiped.

Wambui’s new role at the Church would see her spend more time with the bishop, and romance soon blossomed.

The developments gave the Bishop’s wife Agnes Wangivi sleepless nights as she moved in to reclaim her man, but later gave in.

“I confronted Leah and threatened her not to play games with my husband. She looked innocent, and I gave in,” Agnes stated.

Agnes saw the warning signs when the man of God began inviting Wambui for dinner.

“This is when I started questioning their friendship. I confronted Kanyua to keep his wife away from my husband, but he seemed blindfolded. My husband developed cold feet on his family and ran away to Leah in 2015,” she said.

Kanyua watched in pain as his marriage crumbled with the bishop frequenting his house and occasionally spending the whole day locked up with his wife.

Unable to bear the pain anymore, Kanyua has warned that he will take matters in his own hands to get justice should the government fail to intervene.

“This is unacceptable and I wouldn’t sit back and watch someone take my family. If the government does not intervene, I will choose my ways.

“It has taken me a lot to grow the family all those years. I will not allow the wedding to continue. I can also seek legal redress,” Kanyua stated.
