A man has been ordered to pay disgraced formed Ms. World Kenya Roshanara Ebrahim Sh 1 million for leaking her nudes.
The nudes, which were leaked to the pageant organizers cost Ms. Ebrahim her title.
According to a court ruling published on KenyaLaw.org, the model’s former boyfriend Frank Zahiten sent Roshanara’s nude photos to Ashleys Kenya chief executive officer Terry Mungai without the model’s knowledge.
Mrs. Mungai reeceived the nudes on July 28 through an email. A day later, she announced that Roshanara had been stripped off her title.
Consequently, Mr. Zahiten will have to pay Ms. Roshanara Sh. 1 million for damaging her reputation.
The court found out that Roshanara had posed for the nudes, taken naked selfies and even shared them with her ex-boyfriend Zahiten. However, the court ruled that in as much as she had taken them, she did not authorize that they be shared publicly.
The ruling came at a time when photos of nude Kenyan women have been leaking on a group on Telegram going by the name Mafisi Channel. The ruling further sets stage for women whose nudes have been maliciously leaked to seek legal redress.
